Stop whatever you are doing now. Bring your attention back to the present moment.
Don’t worry how yesterday was, or how tomorrow will be. Don’t worry about today. Let go everything you are thinking of.
When you think of any thought, your mind and your consciousness get fully involved in it. And when they are fully involved, you flow in the direction in which your thoughts make you flow.
You lose control of what happens then. To gain this control back, bring your attention back to the now.
Every time you catch yourself wandering away, come back to the now.
Life isn’t to be lived in the yesterday, nor is it to be lived in the tomorrow. There is only one way to live your life, and that’s to live it right here, right now.
You did what you did in your yesterdays, and you’ll do what you’ll do in your tomorrows. Don’t waste your time thinking of them. They mean nothing at this moment.
Perhaps, you did a wrong thing yesterday. Perhaps, you’ll again do the wrong thing tomorrow. But what you can do now is, do the right thing at this moment, and you can only do that if you focus on what you have right here, right now.
The past brings regrets. The future brings desires. But the now brings only clarity. The now clears your mind of your regrets and desires, and makes you look at yourself for who you are.
The now helps you discover the joy of the present moment, and guides you to do the right thing every moment.
What happened in the past can’t be changed. What’ll happen in future may not be in your control. The only thing in your control is the moment you have right here, right now.
Whenever you feel life is unfair to you, whenever you feel no one loves or cares for you, whenever you feel your sadness overpowering you, and whenever you want to know the meaning of life, calm down, close your eyes, take a deep breathe, and come back to who you are right here, right now.
If you dream of living your life to its fullest on some future day, at a future moment, let me tell you that that day will never come. Because, then your mind will create new desires, and new thoughts in you. The only way you can live your life to its fullest is when you live it right here, right now.
Stop dreaming, stop desiring, stop planning, stop waiting, stop postponing, stop thinking, and stop feeling the future moment.
Become aware of the present moment. Become aware of the now. Become aware of who you are now, what’ s happening in your mind now, what you are feeling now, and direct your consciousness to see the reality of life that’s happening in the now.
When you finish reading this article, pause for a while, bring back your attention to the now, and spend few minutes just observing your thoughts and your feelings, and see if you can discover what’s happening within you right here, right now.
